Can church be a dangerous place?

Anyone can walk in off of the street and plot crimes against Christians. The industry can try to frame young men and women. Gossip can be used to defame professionals or to divide friends and families. Christians could gather personal information and p it on to blackmailers or ID thefts innocently. These are serious concerns that were laughed away at my previous church. Shouldn't we think about safety in every American institution?
