What to do with my lip piercing?

i just pierced my lip on the bottom and ive been using just earrings to keep it open. my lip is fat right now and i just put ice on it. i clean it with ear piercing cleaner considering there isnt much of a difference. my parents dont know so shhh:] i just tell them its fake. anyways.. what should i do? how do i keep it clean? anything i should watch out for? answers for 10 points:D
