How do I repair a broken solar handheld toy? Sunshine Buddy stopped working:(?

Hi everyone, I have a Tomy Sunshine Buddy that is a solar powered "bobble head" type toy. It works very similarly to a solar calculator as it runs off a little tiny PV panel. However after 6 years it stopped working. I've done some searches and this model is no longer available so i cannot buy a replacement. I took the toy apart and it looked like all the wires were still connected to everything. Is there any hope for repairing my toy?
