Having an amnio tomorrow.?

I am 37 weeks and am scheduled for induction on thursday. I have gestational diabetes so they are doing an amnio tomorrow to check the lung maturity. I guess GD can cause the lungs to mature slower. What was your amnio like, details please. Also if you had GD and delivered at week 37 what issues, if any, did your baby have? I'm really nervous about having an amnio and delivering at 37 weeks, it will be 37 weeks 5 days that I'm induced.
