Legal-Can i get police protection while moving out of my family home-INDIA?

In most countries, not sure about India, one can call the police and ask them to meet you at the residence at a certain time and "keep the peace" as you only want to protect yourself and retrieve your belongings. This way no one is hurt and it's not necessary to explain the whole cirstance to them as it is a civil matter. It is certainly worth a call or visit to the police station.
