Should Palestinians be held responsible for the acts of other Arabs in 1948?

Many people hold to the belief that because Jews left other Arab countries (Libya, Egypt) to go live in Israel (for whatever reason they left, whether they were threatened or felt threatened is moot to this question) it was acceptable for Israel do to the same to Palestinians.
